Meenmutty Waterfalls

Cascading over three stages and falling from a height of over 300 meters, Meenmutty is the tallest waterfall in Wayanad. A long day's trek through the million shades of green takes us to this spectacular waterfall. The murmurs of the river follow our foot steps through the forest all the way to the fills. The force of water striking the dark rocks and splashing high up, to shimmer in the sunrays is a breath- taking scenery. It is situated in the triple point where two other districts Malapuram and Neelgiri join Wayanad in its beauty. The visitors have to trek through the forests to reach the falls and special permission from the forest department is also necessary. A guide will be allotted for the way to the waterfalls. On the way one can enjoy the greenery of forest , various birds and variety of butterflies. Special attention has to be given for the leeches during rainy season.
